The United Justice Coalition, in partnership with Roc Nation, has announced an expanded roster of speakers and programming for its upcoming 2025 Justice Summit, scheduled for Friday, May 30 at The Shed in New York City. This no-cost, open-to-all event promises a day of thought-provoking discussion, community engagement, and policy exploration aimed at transforming the criminal justice system.
Joining the already prominent speaker lineup are key figures such as legal analyst Laura Coates, scholar Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, political strategist Angela Rye, and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott. The day will feature panel discussions addressing topics like probation reform, police misconduct, mental health in the justice system, and the struggles faced by women behind bars.
One highlight includes a session inspired by the Corruption Uncovered podcast, spotlighting the Kansas City, Kansas police scandal and featuring survivors and reform advocates.
In addition to talks, a community space will showcase over 40 nonprofit organizations dedicated to justice work. With backing from groups like REFORM Alliance and NFL Inspire Change, the summit aims to foster activism, healing, and concrete solutions for justice nationwide. Registration is open now at United Justice Coalition.
